[Dallas, Texas, November 19, 2018] – Performance menswear company Mizzen+Main announces the launch of a multi-drop golf polo collection co-designed by brand ambassador, company stakeholder, and American golf icon, Phil Mickelson. The announcement comes after several successes the partnership has achieved thus far, including a 600% increase in website traffic when the partnership was announced, as well as a viral brand commercial that resulted in over 600 million media impressions in just four days.
Mizzen+Main and Phil Mickelson first announced their partnership back in May, which transformed the industry with the “best damn dress shirt.” Mizzen+Main later launched the Phil Mickelson logo collection containing a variety of shirts, which featured Lefty’s signature ‘jump’ logo from his infamous pose after winning the 2004 Masters.
Now, just ahead of highly-anticipated Capital One’s The Match: Tiger vs. Phil, the brand debuts the first iteration of the Phil Mickelson Golf Polo Collection, designed by Lefty, with the athlete in mind. “Having Phil on board to design a collection brings a unique element to our partnership that we know fans will love. This is something Phil’s never done before and it’s humbling that one of the world’s greatest golfers has chosen to work with us to design performance polos,” states Kevin Lavelle, Founder and CEO of Mizzen+Main.
“I love Mizzen+Main’s dress shirts – they’re unlike anything else I’ve ever worn which is part of why I play golf in them,” said Mickelson. “As great as they are, I’m thrilled to launch my own line of polos designed to deliver maximum functional benefits while helping me look my best. These polos have done just that.”
The first drop of the collection features four golf polos in navy, black, purple and white and are made in the brand’s performance fabrics, ensuring they not only look great but are comfortable and versatile as well. The polos are now available in sizes S-XXL on www.mizzenandmain.com, for $89 each. Mickelson will be sporting the black polo during The Match on Friday, November 23.
Additional styles will launch in 2019.
